nc_cooter
BP0918 Finally got my post vise stand built. I used 1/2" plate and 2" square tube. The vise is only a 4", but it's in great shape. Thanks for looking.
Dave Parker
I made one from a 6 inch pole cut down and anchored into the ground. It didn't work (kept moving) so I added another pole, lots of wire, some wood, nails and it still wiggles. Your stand is much better. I would copy it but my welding is worse than my wood working skills, lol.
keithgartner
Good job! That will stay put and last forever. I did about the same with mine except, the bottom plate is 24" x 24" x 1" and the post is a R R tie so I can take to 1840's rendesvoues and it looks like a post comming out of the ground. Smoke and mirrors.
