lordcaradoc Posted June 27, 2009 Share Posted June 27, 2009 Hello all, I am new to this list, but not to blacksmithing. It has been a few years since I worked at it with anything but casual interest. I moved here to Akron Ohio a year ago and realized recently how much I enjoyed working metal, so am getting back to work. I am looking for a teacher who I can learn on a more serious level and work with at least a couple times a month. I want to learn how to make my own tools, particularly my own tongs and put together my own forge. Eventually, I want to start making blades. Oh sure you can SAY you can stop any time, maybe even quit for a period but it never leaves your blood and sooner or later it'll suck you back in.
