Thanks, The product has certain quality requirements which shall be complicated to meet in casting process. So, we are trying to find some feasibility in forging option which shall reduce additional process and manage to meet the requirements. There are certain parts in fighter flights which are being manufactured by forged cast iron. I don't have real idea on how it is manufactured. So, thought to post in here to get the opinions from experts.

Dear experts I would like to know, is there any new technology to do FG2000 in Forged way. I do understand this is a Grey Iron grade, However the carbon content is less than 4% and these days forged cast process is getting developed. I am trying to gather new knowledge about this, Any equivalent material advises are also will help. Appreciate some good sights
