  1. Hah, at least we're in good company. Yep, I folded and welded this guy.
  2. Thanks Chimaera! I'm not strong on the verbiage. I forged a taper and then folded that back on itself and the taper became the angled poker. Is that a scarf? Apologies, I've still got a lot to learn.
  3. It's not great, but I made my neighbor a fire poker. He seemed happy with it.
  4. That was really cool; thanks for posting! It was pretty interesting seeing such young faces working like that. The one apprentice didn't even look like a teenager yet.
  5. Awesome Shainarue! Hopefully we both get a lot out of it. I heard back from ABANA. You are eligible for certification so long as all assignments are completed, just in case anyone else was curious.
  6. Hey all, I just signed up for the Level 1 Curriculum course ABANA is running over the summer via zoom. Just curious whether anyone here had done one before and knew what to expect, had advice, reviews, etc. I'm quite looking forward to it. One thing I'm curious about that I didn't see in the description was whether your work was evaluated and you'd be eligible for the Level I certification at the end. I assume so, but you never know. Apologies is there is already a topic on this; I couldn't find anything manually or via a site search on Google.
  7. Those brackets look great. They really go with the yarn theme.
  8. Thanks for the kind words! Been picking away at the French clear wall for a bit now. Whenever I get an idea and happen to have some plywood to hand.
  9. The hang on an aluminum bar, so you just need to lift it over that bar and you're all set.
  10. Not forging, but organization still counts, right? I threw together a rack for angle grinders and all the angle-grinder do-dads. My wife was rightfully concerned about the extra space on the grinder rack. There is lots of room there for more toys.
  11. Here's my dog, Husker. Honestly, he's not much of a shop dog. He doesn't like loud noises so he usually doesn't stick around very long when I'm playing at the forge. Otherwise, he's a good boy.
