About Me
Born in '73, married 26 years and still going, 3 kids: 2 boys, 1 girl.
My job is at a medical rehab centre where I work as a management & maintanance assistant, aka 'the guy who fixes broken lightbulbs, unclogs sinks and does the general periodic maintanance'. I also do maintanance on wheelchairs, with or without patiënts in them, haha and occasionally a prostetic limb.
I enjoy sitting at the wheel of my truck simulator playing ats and ets2. In our back yard I have 12 little japanese bantam chickens digging up worms and weeds with their short legs, they add a lot of fun to our garden.
About a year ago, I started reading and learning about blacksmithing and even made me a small railroad track anvil together with a well working solid fuel 'bucket forge'.
Two weeks ago, I came across this big english made london pattent 336lbs anvil with twin hardies, estimated age 170-200 years, maker unknown (still working on that). Condition like almost brand new, some minor sway on face and step but other then that no damage whatsoever. You probably won't believe me but I paid only 76cents/lbs... now that's what I call 'a steal'! You can imagine that I'm totally over the moon... childhood dream finally came true!!!
At the moment I'm cleaning her up and fixing her on a 200+ yrs old oak stump and finishing the mobile forge. Build a small workshop to put it all in after which my wife can have her carport back...
Well, that's me in a nutshell.
Kind regards,
Michael.
