  1. Happy New Years from Michigan! Bob
  2. I haven't tried it yet, but my brother in law swears by "Irish Spring" bar soap. He has several old cars and places chips or whole bars in various parts to keep the mice out. Smells better than moth balls :)
  3. Cool knives! I knew there was a reason I kept all those old rusty wrenches :)
  4. Thanks, looking forward to getting to know everyone.
  5. Howdy, I am from Eckford, Michigan. I have been smithing for about 2 years as a hobby. I have taken a few classes at Tillers in Kalamazoo Michigan. This summer I built a new shop out of logs, and have just about finished the forge itself. I posted some photos of the new forge in the galleries area. This seems like a really great site, and I am looking forward to being a part of it.
  6. I still need to build the chimney. I will need to also add a grate as the hole from the brake drum is too big.
  7. Thank god for duct tape. a "temporary" way to attach the air supply.
  8. Here is how I attached the air supply to the brake drum. I used a 3 inch T.
  9. Here the brake drum is in place. Need to attach air supply next.
  10. Using old brake drum from 97' Ford pickup.
