  1. I can get a pic tomorrow. Yes, like a coin. Basically the tool domes over with time. So the surface becomes rounded.
  2. I start with a bar 1" by 1/4". I just want to press a 1" circle about 1/8" deep into it. I used a piece of 1" high carbon from a driveshaft. The press is for forging, fairly fast.
  3. The hole is 1". Haven't figured out how to press a slug
  4. I've been trying to use my 20 ton press to press a 1" circle into 1/4" flat stock. I managed a few, but the die deforms too quickly. Is this just a difficult task for a press or are there ways to make this work better? Attached is a picture of what I'm making. Thanks, all.

  6. I was thinking of pendants, things that hang off a cord. Like these
  7. I'm playing with small jewelry items and I was wondering how to get an easy, quick shiny black finish on them. I've been using olive oil and a torch but it takes a while and I've had mixed results. Any help would be appreciated
