Got to make my first hammer and am so pleased and thankful so far. cooling in hotbox now couple days I will finish the surfaces and then attempt my first  2 heat treats chisel first then hammer. Also first true use of a sledgehammer overall I believe I did pretty good just need to remeber  i can hit it harder lol.

  2. I was looking into making a couple different animal heads or full animals and I wondered if I made tools to say imprint eyes or different features on an animal say scales feathers or even lines on something. could I make almost like a stamping tool create the indent to specific shape or create lines on a surface with little more precision. I know on normal stamping it works because stamp is hard steel and metal being stamped is softer. just was not sure if I would have to finish these tools say like I would a chisel or punch.

love the hardy tool that's on my list of projects.

  3. I don't claim to be smart at all but my clutter and messes in my work area I also know where everything is. things go wrong when I clean then I never find anything.  I am a genius with food besides that I get by. not sure what it is with food but It just clicks lady says to me today i know every cook that works this station uses all same ingredients but tour food just tastes better. she made my day.

  4. Hey there was a study done by some bored scientists that concluded smarter people like clutter because organization is to simple for their brain and the clutter is like a puzzle that allows their brain to work more and also showed some clutter to certain people isn't clutter at all and the person that created it knows exactly where everything is. I love geniuses that have time to tell me I am messy cause I am smart........

  5. well minus my homemade kastolite fire brick falling to the ground and shattering I had a good day. started off with a spring cut off a full coil was not sure how much would need. then straightened it out and cut off what I thought was a good amount and then went at making a chisel. really like the step down and extended part of my horn for that.  not to shabby I don't think turned off the forge to come in for dinner left chisel in it to cool off and I hope normalize but not sure got to read some more.
