  1. i like the foil method and she like the box method thought that needed explainin
  2. its probably that i dont care how i spell things or that i like run on sentences or ones that arent really sentences what i hate in English is people are always questioning you like the kid with too many questions my god i think i know how my grandpa feels I feel like i shouldnt have to explain my self unless i need to. self explaintory JHCC i was one of the top people in the algebra class and you know once you find a way of doing something you like you tend to do it that way the biggest thing we had a problem with is monomials and binomials and doing the foil method instead of the box method.
  3. my wasn't more about showing my work its more of doing the work her way when i can get the answer one way and still be right. she was like a mad hornet
  4. my god i look at the clock and its 240
  5. my other grandpa the one i live with is the only one who graduated in my family and i do remember my youth day cutting up fire wood for winter. i got a logspittler
  6. that why when the day comes i will go into the woods with a lot of lead, black powder, seeds, flint, gas, oil, and my anvil and hammer and live off the grid. and i have blacksmithing for free time. and doing stupid redneck things. so somebody watch this and hold my beer.
  7. one day we will get to a point to where we have everything automatized and we wont even be able to have a job anymore should of had those two years ago Oct 26 2015 the day we hoped we would see flying cars and hover boards but there not hover boards. we got to see the cubs go to the play offs though
  8. the reason this is mostly true is because the us is so messed up and forgive me people if i hurt your feeling by saying bad things about our country but its true this country isn't as great as it used to be you cant even get a low paying factory job without a GED or High school diploma and this is really bad because the generation that used to you could drop out in the third grade like my grandpa and my dad who dropped out at 9th and my grandma who dropped out at 10th. and they could find jobs but my dad got a GED and he still gets paid like 24 dollars an hour or more. for 15 years of work consecutive after the takeover and now you have to go to collage to even get a say to say that you know what the hell your talking about because peoples word accounts for nothing these days you can, and most of the professors I've heard from people with experience with them will tell you that they are stuck up and will probably tell you to leave the first day and my teachers don't do that but you are right you have to have resumes and crap like that i don't think they had that back in the old days but people care too much about petty things i can have a meaningful conversation with someone understand them and then proceed to do what i think i need to do. no formalities and crap like that its just not how people around here act and by here i mean people i know and know well like you go to boy scouts together well, school well, heck Ive known there parents for as long as i can remember. but i agree with you communication is important but not too important BTW if i forgot to tell you about my stuck up math teacher who was one of those professor people well she was my algebra 1 teacher and boy we didn't get along at all man there were times i wanted to walk but i never did but i did get back at here at the end of the year. at the near begging of the year she said that she has done this many times more than i have and to do it her way, but here way wasn't good for me and she said here will is stronger than mine. and i resisted her way all year long and my grades were one of the highest in the class but she wouldn't let it go and i got a hundred on the algebra 1 EOC and which is end of course test that's 20 percent of our grade for the year. and when awards day came i got that award and i shoved it in her face and said something i probably shouldnt have. Only teacher i have ever had a problem with i hate the stuck ups
  9. math and engineering have change my life for the better and you know how people are like how is this going to be useful and it is very useful and the STEM area is rapidly growing thanks to jobs like these and other ones in construction and manufacturing. They are the leading jobs that keep America running if road weren't built cities didn't have malls and knifes weren't made and etc. and truck drivers they haul loads from coast to coast to keep stores going and business afloat and they all involve math and science and most of the people who do those jobs are middle class working people who have families to feed and bills to pay. but enough of that back to blacksmithing I may fire up the new forge when i get it built thursday or friday maybe on the weekend ill go get the stuff thursday to make it
  10. i was never into English always hated it. its boring i mean who wants to sit through something they already know and know how to do. its pointless and if your ocd about grammar i dont really care if i misspell a word or few because as long as its readable then im OK with it
  11. That's true School only teaches a couple of skills math and what Little engineering classes they teach everything else is pointless except science and history, also career and technology those are what matter as actual skills. when is knowing Shakespeare going to help you in life physically
  12. but getting by is more my thing but not when it comes to math and engineering
  13. well im gonna check the starter on the truck because it might be that cause it is pulling the battery down and i dont know if today i might do some blacksmithing or maybe not cause i heard it was gonna rain all day this week so i might not get started on that trammel until this weekend and i got to go to the shop to go get my pallets that littleblacksmith suggested i use. so i got nothing to do today much im still in school but we basically do nothing.
  14. bout time to leave for the day and hope to get the truck fixed 315
  15. i use some of that siver stuff for burns
  16. oh im aware of it but you will hear me probably the whole neighborhood does its more like a pain tolerance you know
  17. im back iv'e learnt my lesson plenty of times and im starting to get used to the pain seriously like if i get a match put to my skin i don't really feel anything sparks too but i usetacould
  18. bet that hurt, i have a problem with not touching hot metal with my bare hand i dont know why i do it almost time to change classes
  19. yes im just gonna use dirt out of my yard its free i dont live in the piedmont region of south carolina
  20. at 3 going to napa to get fuel lines and coupplings for fuel pump and carbarator and will give an update tomorrow or before i go to bed either one
  21. really that is one of the most common things i have and not even thinking of using them because i have a lot of wood in the shop i still have to clean it later disscusion on another thread im gonna start doing those cooking trammels Trent did but im gonna use lawnmower blades for the body and make a drift pin to punch the holes out from a third peice of rebar i have thats bent so is their a place where i can get coal all year long at a place where it is not real expensive but a reliable source because im tired of making charcoal it's aggravating work and so time consuming to burn it down, and that is the longest part of the process, i want something i can put in the forge and start the fire. TSC near me dosent sell it
  22. thank you little blacksmith for giving me the idea of using pallets i have plenty of them never though of it untill now and ill nail it together since i might not have screws
  23. i cant order the coal from the online site. its one of those in store only deals and its not in stock near me. but i will find some coal surely, might can rob a train (hint this is a joke). pickin up the new gas line for the Chevy today and the fittings. now for those that read the update post, here is the new update Forge: hopefully i can make a dirtbox forge from wood i can scrounge around the shop if i cant i will use metal or have to buy wood or make a pit. but im scrapping the current forge. Truck: if by some miracle that this new fuel line actually make it run then i will be dandy got to check my finances later
  24. I'll check this a little later. My money came in today so I'm gonna go to nappa and order me some coal so how long does one bag last
  25. Well I'm gonna build a dirtbox forge like Trent showed and use this coal and I heard through the grapevine that coal is harder to start than charcoal
