  3. Ok update everyone Truck: put new fuel pump on and got to get a steel line to go to the carbarator my money didn't come in this week don't know why but it should be in Monday had to borrow some from my grandpa to get the pump. Got to pay him back and get line and some fittings To frosty I found that the bed of my truck is a perfect height for the anvil but I have to re do my forge it's just not working like I planned Attempted some blacksmithing this weekend but no luck Got one question for you who use coal where do you get it from. Also didn't know about a .22 bullet in the yard when I got the torch out and cut my pipe and man that went off in my ear and I'm taking a few days off cause my ears are ringing like crazy. Talk to y'all sunday after church. And thank you @littleblacksmith for you generous contourbution which I can't spell it will be greatly appreciated.
  4. i like to sit but i left my/dad's chair that i borrowed/stole and do my work sitting down works good for me
  5. I wasn't in the most comfortable position and situation at the time I was down on ma knees and the anvil was on the ground
  6. If I can remember it was like it was bending upwards taking the concrete holding off the rebar
  7. After I worked on it, it was bending and I got more pictures it's just a pain to upload them all from my phone
  8. I was serious while I was on summer break it was all I done mostly saving money and buying tools and welding stuff I mean I was about 13 when I picked up a torch and my brother is kinda new at this cause he live in the Westminster. I live in Salem and we are trying to make a living out of it just got to do some things first.and wait for income so we can get to work making small blacksmithing projects and it's true I haven't been a member long but I still know a few things
  9. Ok guys it's Friday finally got the fuel pump off and my money has come in yet, I'm worried. Now back to blacksmithing did anybody get anything from the pic of the rebar. See how it was bent. Now I have have a shop to clean up and a tongs to forge after school and I might have to go get my brother so it should be a fun weekend This is more than a hobby it's more of a way of life for most of us. To answer your question @littleblacksmith
  10. whats up, its thursday the day everyone likes but still hates cause it aint Friday, got to check the money in the bank tomarrow and if i got the money im heading down to napa and going to get my brother if he decides to come. so fixing the truck is a yes im gonna put my brother to work burning old table and then making new one while i fix truck and empty the fire pot but if he dont come i will not clean up the shop beacuse i aint workin on both by myself cause i aint like i was a few years ago. hopefully im gonna start videoing my stuff so you can see what im doing and what i can do better and my laptop batter is dying so yeah today im gonna start by taking the fuel pump off when i get home and then ill carry it with me to Napa. so did anyone see anything with the rebar.
  11. Actually I can't drive I only have permit next march when I get my license. Fuel lines are good it's the pumps that gives me trouble and this manual fuel pump should do the trick and for the gear it's not automatic put it in first and break tanks and manifolds are next My brother is thinking of coming over this weekend and we'll we have a lot of work to do but it will be worth it a I got an old table to burn and pipes and lids to weld a peice holder to make and a pair of tongs to forge and a 36 pack of Pepsi's to finish and a fuel pump to change and give my brother a lesson on how to drive a stick
  12. mine is a 305 and i don't lay on the starter if it doesn't want to crank i start to pushing but we fixed the starting problem when we put a new battery in it from NAPA and it cranked at 230 i just couldn't believe it but now it cranks like at 190 and a 210 it wont start Friday's Payday $73
  13. my dad was the one to blame for the 3 in pipes he fixed it up when he need it to go to work and then gave it to me when he go his truck fixed and no its a twin exhaust
  14. I have 3 inch pipes going out of the mufflers, gas tanks are $60-70, straps are about 12, and the fuel selector is about 50, i also later want a 4WD conversion but i got to find transfer case and the hubs pump is 20 and manifolds are 200 so a good 300 right now i need fuel effecieny more
  15. thinking about getting manifolds but took starter to orilieys and they said it was ok
  16. it aint pumping fuel to cabartor my dad has this idea that the electric ones are better than the manual ones but this is the fifth pump we've had to put on so im just gonna buy a manual and put it on. and then it has a starter overheating problem and i have to roll it off if it gets over a certiant temp 190 its a 85 Chevy c10 pickup 4 speed with low manual we also had to replace the fuel tank with a different one because it was "a suicide tank" and nothing wrong with it but i am going to buy the 2 20 gallon tanks selector and all that goes with it. and put it on my self and get the bed back and buy the right size sides cause the bed was rusted and it needed a new tailgate and both sides and then fix the interior and paint it blue and get a new seat and a radio with a casset player
  17. I am trying to get my online classes working but since our school shut down and reopened as a charter school we've had some problems but I've got to get my truck fixed so I can go to the career center and take welding
  18. I know acient and correction meball Subs are for lunch today
  19. Somthings wrong with my phone when i try to use it to quote, it will then only let me write in the quote rarley i can get it to do what i want I remember that is that even still around i mean nobody can be on the phone and it takes 30 minutes to load a page i remember those day in my childhood i was happy when we got dsl but now that we have charter im happier almost time for lunch guys todays menue looks like either pork sandwiches or philly cheese steak., i got free time in algebra 2 and then i have Eng 3 and should be free rest of day
  20. i have a MiG from harbor freight, and i ran out of wire while i was welding it to the barrel lid because i didn't care how it went together, and it got deformed it was made from a bed frame i cut up and welded together
  21. Yeah but i stand 6'5" tall and I need it to be about 4'7" I'm guessing but when it broke it didn't fall the anvil keep it together and I need a way to keep my peice held so I can do something else while it's being heated
  22. I have an anvil I was using the cinder blocks to get it to where I can reach it and I have one of those harbor freight monstrositys and what I've seen is that it like to work hot or it will put a dent in it but I got a peice of junk steel on top of it
  23. Well the YouTube channel I watch for blacksmithing is purgatory ironworks (forged in fire S1 Ep2) and the 3lb is the only straight pein hammer I could find in the store and I'm 6'5" and 320lbs and the sledgehammer is my 8# the 4 is a mallet it came that way wen I bought it and I'm thinking of ting the forge but I ran out of pipe and I'm meeting the plastic on my $12 heatgun
  24. I'm using a 3lb cross pein hammer I was using a 4 lb Sledge hammer cutoff handle and I get wat you mean I don't feel the same like I used to. But it mostly because of the environment I work in I got picturesForge, Hammer, and rebar
