Hello, I present you the knife I made early January.

Its a 7/5" long and 1/4" thick bowie knife,  leaf spring blade with a mild steel hand guard and butt cap , copper and leather washers in the handle.

 Due to previous problems with the tip snaping , I've quenched the blade in warm vegeteble oil and temperd to dark brown what resultad in a very strong knife. Sheat is made from 6 and 3mm cow leather with burnt in engravings: a tribal and the Karma simbol.

My first anvil, its an 132 lb/60kg cast steel with an hardened  wellded top. Letters on the side "UHI" and a 6 star, no clue on the maker .

Previous owner was a 90 year old  man who couldnt forge anymore so we sold it very cheap. All I need now is a tree stump.

Hello everyone, name´s Daniel and I'm from Portugal .

I've been doing knives for 2\5 years just for fun and to learn how to work metal. I started very slow with nothing but a power drill and some files wich is why I havent done many knives.

i prefer quality and originality over quantity.

Recently I bought an anvil what will be a huge step in learning to forge and I'm glad there's is a big community to help because where I'm from it is quite small.
