  1. My son has purloined my small petrol leave blower I use for cleaning the roof gutters and uses it in his forge when he melts aluminum down. He reckons it works great. I asked him how hot it gets, (wondering if it blows so much air it would just cool things off) he reckons when he adds his oil drip feed in to the line the whole forge glows red...... He didnt know what I was talking about when I asked him if he he had changed his name to "Tim Taylor"
  2. cheers fella's was worried my sense of humour might have not been understood But if someone would make one of those wrenches I would buy it in a heart beat for my teenage sons, they absolutely think my wrenches are perfectly adequate for use as hammers!
  3. You can buy knifes, hammers, axes etc at any hardware store, why make them yourself? Here are a couple of handy looking tools to give you blacksmiths an idea of the sort of tools the average Bogan (that's Australian for redneck) would love to find under his Christmas tree, practical multi use tools!
  4. I have no idea what one of those does, but I want one! Looks like just the sort of thing I'd like to turn big things in to small things!!
  5. I really like the lines of the knife, and the handle contrast between the woods looks very good. Do you think the copper will cause issues when it starts to corrode with colouring the wood?
  6. That made them tough in those days.
  7. All the comments about beating the bloke down on price - 2nd hand anvils must be cheap over there, I'd have that for that price in a heart beat before someone else snatched it up..
