no there is no square hole in the shaft under the mounting bracket

new to the forums. I inherited this from my grandfather this last weekend.  It was my great grandfathers then my grandfathers and my father let me have it.  I use to use it alot when it was attached to my grandfathers old work bench.  Its in great condition for its age.  I took it all apart and wire wheeled it and serviced it. Getting ready to build and stand for it

Im not sure of the age or maker???

doesnt seem to have and indentify marks, it has circular grooves on the handle and bell shaped end, has decorative fluted legs too
