  1. I still have the power hammer! I have just about finished my little 14'x14' small shop . Next, I am building an enclosed patio off the front of it to house my power hammer anvil swage cone mandrel etc. The project got put on hold for awhile I was sick for 8 months until the Dr's could figure out it was my gallbladder. What a crappy 8 months, I was sick all the time. Had it out last June and I'm almost 100% now. I'll post up some pics in a few weeks when the rain clears. Oh, motor is 2 HP.
  2. Will check your thread out sorry about all the typos, my phone autocorrects to anything it wants I hate that POS, wish i didnt have to carry it.
  3. most Definitely arm and hammer this one dates 1918-1919 serial 35008 looks like around 200lbs, the weight should be stamped to the left of the serial on larger anvils and on the side just below the logo on the anvils <100lbs
  4. yes I saw that as well. there is a little story with it. they guy I got it from picked it up from the local retired shop teacher In the small town where my wide grew up. those are not his initials so I'm trying to get in touch with the shop teacher to find out where he got it. the guy I got it from Sam the shop teacher had it for a long time. the shop teacher was the only reason my father in law graduated high school!! thanks I should be rich in no time! nice stand it gives me a few ideas.
  5. something is wrong with photobucket.com they are down on garage journal everyone with bucket has the same problem.
  6. the actual arm holding the hammer logo is slightly less detailed and the "wrought iron" print was dropped 49586 208lb
  7. I think that is the direction I might head unless something else catches my eye. I have a couple more power pole upper beams like i did for the 208 lb A&H. I think i posted photos on here somehwere of that stand. Just had a big oak trimmed so I have rounds but they are a little too short I think.
  8. Thanks! I need to figure out a stand and mount for this little guy now. Not sure what to do any ideas for small anvils are appreciated.
  9. Her you go bucket is acting up should be fixed now. great eye on the Fagersta Bruk Mark on nines colombian over on GJ
  10. Very nice thank you. My grandmother was born in 1918!
  11. Can someone with an Anvils In America Book help me pin point a date on this little beauty. I have wanted a small arm and hammer for so many years I kinda stopped looking. Perfect size for my leather craft and gunsmith work. 35008 serial number
  12. Thanks for the advise, i did trim the corner brackets down below, as soon as my dad saw it he complained
  13. Alot of the older pics on here are not viewable anymore so I thought I would post up some pics of a very basic DIY swage block stand I built from recycled materials. The main 4"x6" structure was made from the upper cross beam on a power pole. they are PT and oiled. The straps are simpson post straps 20" long by 2" wide galvo steel. I had these kicking around the back yard in a bucket so didnt have to buy them, I had all the lag bolts as well. I used a mixture of short4" lags and longer 12" ones to tie the beams together and anchor the simpson straps to the beams. The Angle iron is 3/16" 1.5"x1.5" recycled from a very old bed frame. It can lay flat or be stood up vertically in the middle slot to utilize the various side swages.
  14. Installed an oak shelf for the snap on tool box. Also built a mount for the dayton flexible equipment light, put an led bulb in it while i was at it.
  15. a lot of nice stands here! i think this thread is around but many of the photos are missing or no longer visble. Keep them coming!
  16. I like your swage block stand, My next project is a stand for my swage block.
  17. ] got the little guy pushed into a fresh cut oak trunk today. I had to drop a couple small oaks and this guy was perfect for the little hilger and sons anvil
  18. I would pay 60 again the quality of this box compared to my craftsman is far far superior. Considering the price of these new i think it was a great deal. Also like that its is 1960's vintage. It was a estate sale machine shop liquidation. I had 4 other guys at the sale that wanted it if I was going to pass on it lol. They had a kra-24 for 30$ also tons of starret and lufkin calipers for 10$ a piece all sizes, lots of hammers radius gauges lathe dogs, lathe chucks drill chucks, vises etc....
  19. Haha I knew you would be torn up inside! well I had to give 60$ for it, it's more than I have ever paid for a tool box at an estate sale but I think it was a good deal. it's in very good condition. all the lines meet straight and drawers work well. My wife picked me up some black plastic foam craft board today at the craft store. it is perfect drawer liner. it's durable and only 89 cents a sheet.
  20. So I have been looking for a snap on kra21c tool box for awhile now and finally found one yesterday at an estate sale. I am going to mount it on the backside of the rack. I wont be using frosty's flip down desk idea. However I am still going to mount the light so that it slides on a rail.
  21. That sure is in good condition! How is the rebound?
  22. I got this old craftsman metal tag socket box from a junk store for 1$ last week. It should work nicely as a holder for punches chisels etc...... Thank you! It will definitely save some space in my rolling tool cabinet for other tools, and in the shop
  23. I agree a foot treadle would be a very good idea! I have an old sewing machine sitting in the yard too! I love the idea for mounting the light Frosty. I am definitely going to do that. to be continued!!
