  1. I think Walking Dog said some thing about don't sell your self short, boy ain't that the truth. I just finished a sign bracket for a Bed and Breakfast and to get my work and name out there I did it cheap. Won't do that again. Sign bracket was beautiful and the the lady started crying when she saw it. Made me feel good that she really liked it, but it doesn't replace what I lost on it. Also DO NOT come down on your price. Did that once at a county fair, was kicking my butt all day long because I felt cheated.
  2. JP I'm from Ohio to and a member of Northwest Ohio Blacksmiths-NOB, you guys down there have Southern Ohio Forge and Anvil-SOFA. Wondering if your a member and if not I highly recommend joining. Blacksmith clubs are a great way of learning and SOFA has a huge gathering every year in Troy, Oh. Good luck. Oh so I don't get anyone mad this sight is great to.
  3. I'm Paul from Bad Creek Blacksmiths, Been signed up on this site for a while now and finding the time to post this. Pretty busy burning up the coal, just got done forging a sign bracket for a Bed and Breakfast. I'll get a picture posted as soon as I get a good one and figure out how to do it. Better with a hammer than this computer. Been forging for 1 1/2 years now talk to a smithy at the county fair went to a open forge made a set of tongs was hooked. Got my shop built last year, didn't take long I was a carpenter till the back said no more. Working on some candle holders now, well after the shop gets cleaned up can't stand a messy shop. Keep the iron hot and the hammers swinging!! (Remember its okay to make a mistake as long as you learn from it.)
