    Hello Jmsprad, I'm a member of the Central Virginia Blacksmith Guild. I'm sure that you would find knowledge at our meetings. We have hands on sessions where someone demos and then passes the tongs on to whomever wants to try. You should come to a few of our meetings and see for yourself. Our meetings are the 2nd Saturday each month. Most communications seem to be on FB these days. Please search for us there to find the next meeting location and to see what else has been going on.     Our March guild meeting will be held on the 8th from 9am-1pm at... YesterYear Forge 15421 Five Forks Rd. Amelia, VA. 23002 Demonstrator: Mike Tanner Bring something for Iron in the Hat They're providing lunch so there's no need to bring it.

    As usual, we will not hold a meeting this month because we'll be attending the Boone's Part Party.

    Instead of the standard meeting, the guild arranged a trip to the Washington National Cathedral. There's a lot of pics on our FB page.

    Central Virginia Blacksmiths Guild meets September 14 at Keith Hicks.

    This was a good meeting. Our special guest demonstrator Caitlin Morris was a delightful artist. We also counted votes for a new home. It was decided that we would go to Grayhaven Winery. We will begin to work out the details soon.

    The Lakeside Farmers Market is located at 6110 Lakeside Avenue in Henrico, VA. Details about this market can be found at http://www.lakesidefarmersmarket.net/ Every other Saturday you will find Blacksmith Mike Harrell demonstrating and selling his work to the shoppers. On Saturday June 8th, 2013 there will be a few of us CVBG members there to help Mike and, to promote our guild. Please stop by and see us if you can.
