Yes, ODBSA does have a library, and a pretty good one at that. It still works on the honor system. We have a Librarian who is officially in charge of maintaining it. He keeps a logbook where members sign out the book(s)they are interested in. They are to return them within 3 months. I don't think we've ever had a problem with theft. Welcome to IFI and Virginia. You are in luck, Christian. Blacksmithing is strong and growing in Virginia. There are a number of groups in the state, but they are spread out quite a bit. That means that there is some travel involved. Do you have your own transportation or someone to drive you? SW Va is a large area. What town did you move to? That will make a difference on which group.

Heading to Long Island, VA in the morning to see Billy Phelps demo at Bobby Floyd's Buttercup Plantation Forge. Expecting a really good turnout from ODBSA. If the rain holds off it's going to be an awesome day. Heck, it'll be great even if it does rain.

The boys wanted to have a "forging day" before going off to college. So we spent all Sunday in the backyard having fun, except for the 1/2 hour it rained (and reminded us to stop and eat lunch). Great day!
