    Its up to you what you want to spend these sets are very expensive new. There are a number of them up on ebay right now for very reasonable prices.

    I forge welded two of the bars together without scarfing. then took the pairs and shaped them sort of like a garden trowel. Thick on the center and thin on the edges. I did this so the sides would overlap and form a nice smooth shape.
