  2. I'm still searching and can't find anything.
  3. Oh. Metals Depot is also another good site, and it is way cheaper. Which is better? Cold Finished or Hot rolled?
  4. speedymetals.com then go to bronze.
  5. What's big difference between wrought and cast? I thought that they were both made the same way?
  6. I'm buying the wrought Iron at speedymetals.com it's really cheap. for a lot of iron. I checked their ebay page, they don't have any iron for sale.
  7. I'll prolly save up money for a year or two, then once I can make hammer's out of wrought iron, i buy the tool. For the mean time, I'll prolly by 6' long 5/8" 1" and 2" of wrought iron, about 40 bucks.
  8. What is the one that is 20 miles from delafield??? And by the way, I live in watertown, good guess though. But how did you find all of those, and could you give me URLs??? or #s?????
  9. I live about 30min in between milwaukee and madison, max traveling time of prolly 1-3 hours.
  10. Know a website to order bar stock from? -The Elder M brother
  11. does any one live in wisconsin that i could take classes from, or know of a place, i couldn't ind anywhere
  12. So then what would you choose for a hammer head?
  13. I've only been smithing for a few months, but this is what I would bring..... 3 Hammers (Ball Pein Straight Pein and Sledge Hammer) 3 Tongs (Round stock Sqaure Stock and a everything tong....) Two Rail road trackplates, 15LB and 25LB Punches, Chisels Hand Bellows Charcoal/Coal Lots of spare iron The track plate works decent enough, it's what I'm limited to right now, waiting to buy anvil.
  14. I will. I'm going to a flea market this weekend, hoping to find an anvil is lucky or some hammers.
  15. Okay. I don't want to get over my head in projects.
  16. I can not weld. Don't know how to, and don't have a torch. I'm prolly gonna use the axle or some bar stock.
  17. I could get a 16lb sledge hammer, and my brother could hold the head, if it's to hard to shape with a small 4lb sledge hammer. But I'm gonna start looking around.
  18. There is a rail laying around back there, but it'd be pretty hard to move 1500 feet back to my house, we live on like 13 acres. But, the track plate is prolly 25lb, 5x8 and has 8 sqaure holes in it, and for a horn, i used a j shaped piece from the railroad.
