  1. Not alot of artists these days are as hands on as they used to be. They think they can get by directing others to bring about their 'vision' and forget that the people actually doing the work have been doing it for years before the artist came along. When I was in art school for Photography....I know I know.....I was older, I went places to get photo's, hiked back in the woods or drove out of my way to get something unique. The rest of my 'classmates' sat around in the dorms and regurgitated the same old images over and over, and didnt understand why the teachers were more interested in what I was doing than what they were. One of the teachers asked to use one of my pieces to show his Wildlife Photography Classes HOW they should be shooting, not from 200 yards away at a speck but up close so you can see the feathers and fur.

  2. Chances are since it is a cheaper sword it has been epoxy'd into the Tsuka. Normally you remove the Nakago Pin and the tang slips free to move it to and from various other Furniture. The cheaper end swords are just that done cheaply and glued on so they dont fall apart. Hate to say it but ya might have to cut it off.

  3. There was a thread on Don Foggs site started by one of the guys showing a nice bruise he got from running into the point of his horn, it was rounded I believe now imagine having done that with a pointy horn. It would slide right into ya, so it more than likely is a safety response who can afford a hole in vital areas because of an accident.

  4. Well I called him back later about the round step anvil and he had someone coming to look at it today, if he doesnt take it he said he would hold it for me. If you have seen a mongolian grill before, a big around then go in an inch and then there is a second round on that. It's a pretty big piece with 2 handles on the sides to move around.

  5. Well I saw this and had to get it, he had a round anvil as well I just didnt have the cash to pick it up as well. I think I might after I sell my big one to keep this one. but it has 200 marked on the base all I could see but it was NOT 200 lbs 3 of us tried to get it into my truck and couldnt do it, ended up having his neighbor come down with his tractor and lift it in....UGH...but I paid 500 for it and I'd pay it again to keep it away from the collector that has been calling. It make my trucks brakes groan trying to stop....lot bigger than 200 lbs...
