Hi. Has anyone ever made a knife from a coiled race car spring? How did you heat treat and temper? Thanks

I bet someone has. However it is what the steel is rather than what it us crrently used for that counts. Typically coil springs do fine for knives. I cannot type the how to do heat treat in this space. It is covered in bp0078 very well . May be a good idea to print a shop copy. Have fun and remember at times used springs have some cracks.....

I bet they would make really fast knives :)
