I have 2 great people to work with willing to give me lessons. One is an old time blacksmith does everything by hand. The other is a master knifemaker and a good friend. If you'll click on "User CP" at the top of the page and edit your profile to show your location we'll know when we're in your neighborhood so we can stop by and mooch dinner or something.
