Donnie Posted November 16, 2008 Author Share Posted November 16, 2008 The blade is just as it came from the anvil. I usually brush them clean as possible with a wire brush. I try to forge as close as possible to the finished shape. I use a lot of files. I like a knife with the cutting edge being the only shiny area on the blade.
