I run a forging business and I am looking to replace my clamshell Jay Hanes forge. As far as I am aware, he isn't doing this anymore as I have tried to contact him. Is anyone else making custom forges that are the clamshell style?

    I don't know about anyone making them commercially, but Ron Reil's page has an article about gas forges that includes a link to a ZIP file of images about clamshell forges. The link on Ron's page is dead, but the Wayback Machine can still access the original file; see HERE.
