Wanting a press, but not having too much room or money.  I needed a wood splitter, so got a 7 ton splitter, built adapters to use as a press as well.  Have only used it twice, but it works great for my operation.  I know I will not be able to do the big packs like the "big boys", but it serves me both ways as a splitter/ press.  I currently have two sets of dies   made, both work great.  

That looks like a really god adaptation of an existing tool. Well done. Have you smashed steel with it?
