Daniel_Tran
Hi everyone, Now we are casting a pipe bracket with 11 seperated chambers, so we have to use the chaplet in casting. However, these chaplets were not melt down completely, so it leaded to air leak from chamber to chamber, so is there anyone who has same issue before that can give me a solution? All ideas are helpful. Thanks
Frosty
No pictures of the part, failed casting, etc. and you want what kind of help? With such a vague question the best you can realistically expect are guesses so here's mine. Not enough risers and or better placement. You DID put risers in the mold, yes? What's a "chaplet" and what does it do? By didn't melt completely is it aluminum and is incorporated into the finished part or is it part of the form and you didn't do a complete burn out? Have you been casting very long or just beginning? Okay, I just looked Chaplet up and without more information there's no telling what you're doing wrong. Frosty The Lucky. Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Welcome from The Ozark mountains. Perhaps saying the Chaplet will help in getting the pour to work.
