Don A Posted July 24, 2008 Share Posted July 24, 2008 I have an old Popular Mechanics or some such that has crossbow plans using a car's leaf-spring. If I remember correctly, the guy hack-sawed an Austin-Heally spring into a bow shape (double taper). He also made his trigger mechanism out of a used cue ball (as in billiards).
