I've wanted to try to make the perfect bushcraft knife for myself and wanted to see what people think.

My idea is to make a 1095 core with 1045 sides for strength and a scandal grind for edge retention with a handle design similar to the "Ka-Bar Becker BK2."  I'd use "verawood" handle scales and 1/4in stainless pins for durability.  Any suggestions, recommendations or tips?
