Robert Mayo Posted June 27, 2008 Share Posted June 27, 2008 You must temper any carbon steel after hardening. I put it in an oven at the right temp for the steel and the intended use. If you need more info you will have to give us more info as to what type of steel you are using and what the knife is intended for.
