Swamp Fox
How do you go about demagantizing a sewing needle that was placed on a magnet and then became magnatized?
irnsrgn
one side is north pole, the other is south pole, place it on the other side. or they make little cheap magnatizer, demagnatizer things with a hole in them that you just stick things thru the hole. T-Gold
You can also heat to nonmagnetic. :)
Ten Hammers
Actually, those little deals like Junior speaks of are handy as a pocket on a shirt. I keep one in the roll-away for screwdrivers. De-magnetizing a screwdriver head is awfully handy when you need to change a cord on a grinder to keep the little grinder plummies off the screwdriver ( just in case you forgot to blow the thing off before you went at it with tools). Those golf club lookin magnets ( on a handle) are absolutely handy for cleaning up in front of the welding/cutting table and wives/grandkids fascination with them will get you a free cleanup sometimes The de-magnetizer is awfully handy to keep screwdrivers clean for the drawer too. Strine
A demagnetiser is something I've been after for years. TenHammers, I've got plenty of shirt pockets but what exactly is the thing called and where would you get one.
