Pritchettforge Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 This is my first knife that I made out of a farriers rasp with a black oak handle and used leather liner. I know that I messed up with the hand sanding but couldn't figure out how to sand out the pits of the the teeth on the rasp to take out the blackness so... any other critiques to fix? the handle isn't actually black like it is in the first picture PRITCHETTFORGE Quote
ThomasPowers Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 If you just wanted to remove the scale for it an overnight soak in kitchen vinegar followed by a good scrub brush and running water would have taken care of it. Repeat as necessary to get into deep pits. Quote
