Metalmaster01
i did score a set of flat tongs about 15 inch long and a shorter set made to hold round items like ball bearing both for $
Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Another overlooked place is pawn shops, I've found forge tools there too and usually reasonable. I once stopped in a "hole in the wall" pawn shop and came away with 30 pounds of tongs, chisels, anvil hardy's and 2 hammers, all in a beat up wood tool tray for $10.00 US. Some of the tongs needed repairing & reworked but a lot were perfectly usable as is.
ThomasPowers
I remember a pawn shop in western OK where I once scored 20 ace doubles for 50 cents apiece (Old SF paperback books---with original prices like 15 cents)
