Jclonts82
My first try at a tanto style. More of an 'american' tanto. Steel: ~100 layers of W2 and 52100 Wood: Gambel oak burl. Stabilized with cactus juice with red alumilite dye. Finish rub with boiled linseed oil. Mosiac pin, copied design off something I saw on the internet. Unknown type of stainless steel for the guard... found a 1" square by 12" long bar in the dirt... some corosion was on the bar, it shined up well. Will W.
That oughta make a fantastic utility knife. The patterns in both the steel and the wood are wonderful. Nice work.
C-1ToolSteel
Nice knife! Seems to be a class of its own. Like a cross between a Japaneeze tanto and American Bowie. Pretty.
