Plugging at it
Loosely inspired by Brazeal ultimate tongs. I find they grip a wider range of stock sizes and shapes without adjustment. They grip well as the stock changes size and around bumps and curves. All mild steel, 1/2 & 5/8 round. Slowly but surely the forging improves. bobasaurus
These look really nice and symmetrical. Wish mine were that good, the one pair I made is an abomination.
Plugging at it
Thank you. I have many pairs of ugly tongs. I didn’t know tongs aren’t for beginners until I found IFI. I had to stop and do some skill building for a while. Now I use tongs for skill building. These are retired for safety reasons.
MC Hammer
My first pair of tongs were forged out of railroad spikes and they didn't look as good as your retired ones Plugging. In fact, they were so ugly I haven't even punched them and put a rivet in. I plan to just for kicks, but wow mine look bad. Since then I've made better ones.
