Peter Wright 155lb anvil value?

I'm in Northwest Jersey.

Stamped Peter Wright, with markings indicating it's 155 lbs.

Rebound is above average. Most spots went to at least 70%. 

Edge of face is fine.

So it's a functioning anvil; not an antique boat anchor.

What retail price would you give it?

I wouldn't consider 70% as above average; what are you basing your average on?

Not being able to see it makes it hard to judge the condition---we just drove over 60 miles to look at a truck in "good" condition---and found it with cracked windshield, rusting scratches, seats that you cringed to touch, cracked tail light and missing bumper trim, worn through rugs...One I'd rate fiar to poor leaning towards poor.

Anyway sight unseen US$3-5 a pound depending...

Thanks for range. Though it's "depending", it's nice to see it.

I was taught (on this forum) that 80%+ is quality, 70% is good, 60% is tolerable, and 50% is on last legs.

none of which use the term average... now on a different site there is a list of rebound values for various anvil and they list 80-85% is the average for a Peter Wright or HB so 70% is below average...

I'd normally concur but in the UK I've never seen a PW with above 80%, and I've seen a few having been born in PW county
