February 1, 200818 yr 98% iron, .16 C and .85 Mn? That adds up to 99.01%. What is the rest of it? The .16C kinda suggests it is a 500 lb marshmallow, though.
February 3, 200818 yr You might get a hard working surface by hardfacing the top. The anvil price is a bargain and you might be able to afford the cost of the welding rod and stil come out ahead.
