luckyned
I recently acquired a t. tillotson & co, 136lbs anvil from Sheffield England but can find very little info on it. can anyone help me out with, age, history, value? it has the weight on one side in the English hundred weight system and on the other side the only thing legible is; OTSON, and FFIELD. it also has what appears to be a crown over an X over a heart. any info would be appreciated. ThomasPowers
Note that value depends on LOCATION and CONDITION neither of which you have provided. Anvils are cheap in France compared to many other places, shoot the price can vary by 50% just depending on where in the USA an anvil may be. luckyned
fair enough. it's in south Carolina and is in good condition. face is flat with no major wear spots other than some rounding on the corners. the only major issue is it has been welded to a iron stand. i'll try to post some pics once I clean it up a bit.
