It's just a small price of rail but will work as a post anvil if I bury a 6x6 in the ground about 2 foot and then mount it on top of it what uall think

    That's no ASO, that's an anvil. Many folk have done outstanding work on less. Rail is nothing to scoff at, it's excellent steel and a good shape. I'm betting it'll still be around when you find your dream anvil, it's really hard to beat a good rail anvil. <wink>
