switchjv
The motor on my grizzly lathe suddenly stopped. I guess it was its time to go since I'm the third owner of this lathe. Does anyone know of a place where I can mail the electric motor to be repaired. Either in new Mexico or elsewhere??

knots
There is a lot of troublesooting information on-line for electgric motors. Here is a basic list to check out before you go to the trouble of having a pro look at it. http://www.leeson.com/TechnicalInformation/troubleshooting_acmotors.html If you do go to a motor repair shop ask if they have a used motor, with matching frame, for sale. That could save you big bucks.
arftist
No way it is worth rewinding a chinese motor. Buy a new good motor, it will cost less than half of what it would cost to rewind the junk one.
