gary2505 Posted November 15, 2013 Share Posted November 15, 2013 hi im looking to find an essex based master blacksmith who would consider giving a 31yr old an apprentiship, i have been working in the fume extraction industry for 14 yrs and feel a career change is on the cards, as i just kind of fell into this job and its not someting i really want to do. blacksmithing is something i have been interested in for a while altho i have no previous experience in it, i do have years of experience working with my hands tho in my current profession. i look forward to hearing from anyone who would consider an older apprentic. I don't know of any in Essex though, http://blacksmithscompany.org.uk/WWP/AwardHolders.shtml The other place to look is here http://www.baba.org.uk/ for any blacksmiths that might be local to you.
