Ratel10mm
I'm just wondering if the metalwork on the set (railings & so forth) was done by a blacksmith or fabricator. Which blacksmith if it was one? Was it done purely for the program, or did the building exist in it's current form? At least some of it is for he program, judging from photo 11 in this link:http://www.masterchef.com.au/masterchef-5-week-1.htm
jeremy k
Going by the logo of Masterchef it appears that the railings were made specifically for the show, ---- but by who???
Drewy
At one stage master chef was filmed at Australia Technology Park ATP, which is the former railway workshop located at Redfern Sydney. The space is now leased by blacksmith Guido Gouverneur, so at a guess maybe he made the railing, just a hunch??? It is now filmed in Melbourne, and could be a completely new set made down there. jeremy k
They could have easily just modified the one panel to put the logo in for filming back round visuals
Ratel10mm
Jeremy, agreed that they must have been made specifically - at least in part. It's quite possibly an optical illusion, but the scrolls behind the competitor's head in photo 11 look traditionally done, not electrically welded? There's a hint of a rivet there, for e.g? Admittedly I'm looking at this on my phone, not my PC. Drewy, would you mind asking Guido when you're at the forge-in?
