TheoRockNazz
Campo Del Cielo meteorite folded 32 times with 1075, san-mai sandwiched with 1075 core and 15n20 shims. First ladder pattern I've done. The core drifted quite a bit, which I'm not very happy with - I need more practice with the beveling tool for the powerhammer. Comments and critique encouraged, Theo
Loneforge
Theo when I did the SanMai on the hatchet I counted strikes on each side and made sure I stayed super hot when I did it. It took forever as I was doing it by hand.....Nudge nudge, but when finished it was straight and down the center. Beveling on a powerhammer may have been too agressive. Can't say for sure as I have never tried it. That is some fine looking steel though. Keep them coming!
TheoRockNazz
Thanks Darren, I think I'm jumping the gun on my own skills, I should go back to beveling by hand.
