April 25, 201313 yr I've been experimenting with making wood working tools recently...so I made three chisels today. These ones are made from 1095 and curly maple. The runes read "carver" denoting the job they perform plus where they were made (my shop in Carver MN) the big straight chisel is about 13 inches long and 1.5 inches wide to give you an idea of scale. April 25, 201313 yr May want to put bigger handles on the big chisels. I've seen the big boys used with the handle tucked under the arm and using the body for power while the hands do the control.
