Paul Crosby
I finally had a chance to make a copper rose. My mothers 82 birthday was today so I presented my first rose to her. I gave it a antique finish.
mitch4ging
Very nice, Paul! What did you use for the finish?
Paul Crosby
Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner. Hope you made it through the Tornado safe! The finish is what they call patina green antique finish. It has ammonium chloride in it as well as copper sulfate. After it dried I used my torch and moved it around the rose. I wasn't quit sure how it was going to turn out but I was happy with the results. You can get the solution at a craft store under the name sophisticated finishes. mitch4ging
Thanks for the reply! I like the color, It's seems nice and rich. I look forward to trying it myself! I also liked your branding iron. I may make my dad one with his old brand from NM, back when he was a child and had lots of horses. Thanks, Again. Dennis
