It's required by our insurance. The New England Blacksmiths Invite you to NEB Spring 2013 Meeting To discover, to help May 17-19, 2013 at Morrell Metalsmiths, Featuring Toby Hickman About Toby Hickman Toby Hickman has been blacksmithing since 1970. He has been forging on self-contained pneumatic hammers since 1981 when he bought his first Nazel 2B Forging Hammer. He owned and operated Waylan Smithy outside of Petaluma, California from 1973 until he sold it lock, stock, and barrel, in the summer of 2002. He then opened his current shop, lost Coast Forge, on the Mendocino Coast of California. For the New England Blacksmiths, he will be working three days: Friday, (a separate work- shop with a separate fee), a hammer workshop teaching basic hammer skills, freehand forg- ing, and the use and forging of hand-held tools. Saturday, with the help of a striker, he will forge a few flowers of different forging flavors. In the afternoon on Saturday, he will move on to surface chasing in steel plate. Sunday he will demonstrate the Habermann approach to repousse in copper as he has come to use it. Morrell Metalsmiths is 3.5 miles on the left. From Wilmington, VT: Travel South on Rte 100. In Jacksonville, turn left onto Rte 112 to Colrain Cen- ter. Bear left on Greenfield Rd. Morrell Metalsmiths is 1.5 miles on the right. From New York: Take Rte 2 East through Shelburne, MA. At Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters, turn left onto Colrain/Shelburne Rd.
