Here are some pics of a sample I provided for a client to be installed on cabinet doors.. Make the hand grip area comfortable and easy to grasp. You should consider how the hand grip is to be cleaned and kept sanitary.

Neat look....  I have made large handle pulls much like yours for refrigerator doors...  I think if it was my commission I would consider a two point mount ..  The leverage on a single point is greater than you think...  Over time even if you square tennioned the base you will find they will loosen..

Looks great. The little point  from the vine looks like it may cause trouble. If there is any way at all a 5 year old can jam a finger in the curl and poke themselves or cut themselves you may be in trouble. 

I would try and find a way to set the little point fully flat to the round handle. Maybe weld it down and file it clean. Then there would be no way some one could catch a piece of clothing or finger on it.
