GNJC
Any tips as to where / how to lubricate a motor powered Alcosa F20 fan? It sounds a little dry & there's a bit of a squeak; could just be a spot of general forge-dust in there. I've had an Alcosa fan before and the lube point was obvious, but not here. Is it a take-down job or can I do anything from the outside? Thanks for any advice.
swedefiddle
Some fans use oil-lite bushings. To lube them you take them apart and squeeze oil into the pores of the bushing, between your finger tips. They are supposed to be lubed for life. If you can get a drop of oil into the bearing it would help a lot. Drill a tiny hole through the end cap and drip a drop of oil into it. What do you have to loose, you are thinking about replacing it!! OR,,,,, take it apart and do it properly!! :) Neil
GNJC
Thanks for that, I've tried to get some lube in there; if the problem persists I guess I'll have to take it all apart, hopefully not...
