ironclad Posted August 18, 2012 Share Posted August 18, 2012 hi all, was wondering is there a easier or different way of putting the thread back in a vise box ? I've tried brazing a new thread back into a box i made to the same dimensions, but it didn't take , well only a small part took and i had to reheat and remove the thread.(It would not screw in all or much of the way) Have thought about welding strips along to make a cylinder around the thread when its on the screw but not sure if this is the way to go. any help will be appreciated many thanks chris.
