Mr Kauffman has created a nice history in this book. He has included a overview of most facets of the industry from the Furnace to the Forge to the Farrier, the Toolmaker, the Cutler, Locksmith, Gunsmith, etc. This book is not a instruction of how to but rather a more wide overview of the business and creations that arose from the industry. I have gotten several ideas on projects that I have made, in the past. Not to copy the item, but to incorporate some of the elements into my projects.
