JamesG
Couple knives for a cowboy friend , He told me what he wanted and i tried to get them as close to what he asked for. The bottom is stick with end peened over on a mild steel butt cap. The handle was a bleached elk tin, I dyed it in some home made walnut dye and some other thing to get the color. The top blase is W1 tool steel, edge quanched. and the bottom is 1080 edge quanched both in oil.
CurlyGeorge
Nice looking knives. Your friend should be happy with them. I know that I would be. Thanks for sharing the pix.
don't tread on me
They both look very good, but I like the top one better.
BlissStreet
I like the bolster of the first, and the subtle details in the blade of the second
